Carpegen® Perio Diagnostics Report of Results

If test results are negative for all marker organisms, periodontal stability can be assumed in most cases. The higher the number of each individual marker species, the higher the risk for progressive periodontal attachment loss. This is true for both absolute numbers of germs and for their percentage of total bacterial load. In general, risk is higher if several marker organisms are determined than if only one is. The exception is Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans, the key organism for aggressive periodontitis.

Thanks to its clarity and level of detail, Carpegen® Perio Diagnostics' report of results is a valuable tool for the education and motivation of patients. The report comes with personal therapy recommendations.
