Customized Testing Systems

Carpegen has a strong expertise in developing and validating customized real-time PCR assays and DNA chips. We guarantee a perfect handling of your projects and, as a result, validated testing systems meeting highest quality demands and ideally suited for the intended purposes.

Real-time PCR assays are especially suitable when there is a need for exact quantification. While the detection of infectious agents or food contaminants are typical applications, the detection of animal-specific nucleic acids, e.g. in food products, is just as well possible.

DNA chips are the method-of-choice for the cost-efficient and qualitative or semi-quantitative detection of multiple diagnostic parameters, e.g. more than 20 bacterial or fungal species. DNA chips are also ideally suited for detecting a variety of gene mutations or SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphisms).

Where required, the processing of your sampling material is also included in our assay development. Carpegen is extensively experienced in the extraction of nucleic acids from complex and unusual samples.

For our customized testing systems, typical areas of application comprise clinical studies, e.g. the evaluation of different treatments or therapeutic agents. Carpegen's customized assays have also been successfully applied in forensics.
